To date, two SCOOTER Store executives, Tim Zipp, senior vice president for Corporate Compliance, and Tom Hood, vice president of Medicare, DMAC /PSC Relations and Policy, have successfully completed the Certified in Healthcare Compliance Examination. Since the exam was established in 2000, about 500 people have earned the coveted "CHC" professional designation. CHCs are certified to have sufficient knowledge of relevant regulations and demonstrated an ability to understand and address compliance-related legal obligations, as well as promote organizational integrity in their companys compliance programs. The SCOOTER Stores participation in the certificate program underscores the companys commitment to establishing mandatory standards in the health care industry.????"The SCOOTER Store has been a strong advocate for mandatory standards governing suppliers of durable medical equipment," said Mike Pfister, company president. "We have been abiding by the proposed Quality Standards released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) voluntarily since March and have taken the lead in urging the federal government to finalize and adopt these standards sooner, rather than the expected date in 2007.
We believe that mandatory standards will help establish the credibility of providers. We will continue to work with the government to achieve this important goal."Furthermore, Mr. Pfister said, The SCOOTER Store will continue to send employees to the HCCB certification program because it reaffirms the companys commitment to being a mobility products industry leader in setting compliance standards."The SCOOTER Store sets an excellent example for the rest of the industry with its enthusiastic participation in our certification program," said HCCB President Debbie Troklus. "Our mission is to develop criteria for the determination of competence in the practice of health care compliance at a variety of levels and to recognize individuals meeting these criteria. We are pleased that The SCOOTER Store recognizes the importance of this certification."Another example of The SCOOTER Stores commitment to high standards was the creation of its Corporate Compliance Department, which facilitates interaction with the CMS, the federal agency that oversees the two government health care programs.
The SCOOTER Store has followed the governments voluntary standards for the staffing and organization of its Corporate Compliance Department. With a company motto of "Always Do the Right Thing," The SCOOTER Store has pursued higher industry standards and third-party accreditation in other areas as well.In June, The SCOOTER Store invited the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, Inc. (ACHC) to their corporate headquarters for an evaluation of policies and procedures, as part of the renewal process for their ACHC certification. The ACHCs standards cover quality improvement, fiscal management, risk and safety, corporate training and the operating instructions provided to users of products and services. The SCOOTER Store was first accredited by ACHC in 2003 and is now seeking accreditation from the organization for another three years. In addition, The SCOOTER Store last November surpassed the 90 percent rating in senior satisfaction required by Senior Approved Services, an independent consumer-driven survey company. Senior Approved Services has as its mission to actively advocate for the right of all seniors to receive excellent care and recommends only services, products and resources that meet or exceed the high standard of 90 percent satisfaction."It should be clear that at The SCOOTER Store, we strive to ensure that our standards are the highest within our respective industry," Mr.
Pfister said. "We take customer satisfaction, and adhering to regulations, very seriously."About The SCOOTER StoreSince 1991, The SCOOTER Store has helped provide freedom and independence to more than 250,000 people with limited mobility. The SCOOTER Store offers a full line of durable medical equipment, including power wheelchairs and scooters, lifts, ramps and accessories through 126 locations covering 47 states. Web Design Essentials
Websites are created for many different purposes, such as, selling products, offering services, or sharing information. The one thing all websites have in common is the need to attract visitors and keep them coming back on a regular basis. In order to accomplish this you need to have a web design that is pleasing to look at, easy to navigate, and offers good content.
The first thing any visitor to your website sees is the home page. This should be your design starting point.
You can expand on it to create other pages, but you always want to keep the design onsistent from page to page. In other words if your home page is black and gold, you don't want to do your other pages in red and green. Any graphics you use specifically for your site should blend with the color choices you make. Pleasant colors and graphics will help make your site memorable.
Easy Navigation is a must. Going from page to page needs to be as easy as possible.

12 Worst Trees to Plant in Your Lawn
12 Worst Trees to Plant in Your Lawn Tom Ogren1.Fruitless mulberry trees: roots break lawnmowers and these trees really pump out the allergenic pollen. Shade is also too deep for lawns.2.Sweetgum trees: big roots that poke out of the lawn.3.Pine trees: root problems and pollen too.4.Sycamore trees: usually grow way too large for most yards and they produce fuzz that makes people itch.5.Cedar trees: a female cedar is a nice, pollen-free tree, but grows way too large for most houses and yards.6. Magnolia trees: these have shallow roots and if you ever have to rototill your yard, if you have a magnolia tree in the lawn, you'll be sorry. Shade is too dense too for most lawns.7.Lombardy poplars: these common trees grow fast and die young, leaving you with a huge mess. They also are male and produce lots of pollen.8.Olive trees: unless it is a Swan Hill or some other non-flowering olive, this one will cause all kinds of allergies.
The olives are a big mess too.9.Walnut trees: nothing...

Digging Up Earthnuts (Conopodium Majus)
The custom of grubbing for Earthnuts, or Pignuts is as ancient as mankind itself. During May and July they develop umbellifer heads with white flowers not unlike Cow Parsley. According to Gerard and...
